Aayush Ranjan
Brand Chef
The passion for culinary arts began at a young age when Aayush and his family moved to West Africa. At the time, Indian cuisine was not widely available in the region, which led Aayush to start experimenting with cooking at home. Each day brought a new dish to master, and soon, inviting friends over to taste these creations became a source of joy. This early experience ignited a deep love for cooking and a dream of becoming a chef.
As time passed, Aayush had the opportunity to work in well-known local restaurants in Nigeria, gaining valuable hands-on experience and insight into building a career in the culinary industry. After graduating from high school, Aayush took a significant step forward by enrolling at the Culinary Arts Academy in Switzerland, one of the world’s most prestigious institutions for culinary education. This experience served as a pivotal moment in Aayush’s professional journey.
During his time at the academy, Aayush secured several internships at school-run restaurants specializing in modern French cuisine. A highlight of this period was working alongside the renowned Chef Anton Mosimann, whose mentorship left a lasting impact.
After graduating, Aayush received a breakthrough opportunity to work at Disfrutar in Barcelona, a three-Michelin-starred restaurant consistently ranked among the best in the world. Starting as a commis, Aayush honed his skills in an environment known for innovation and excellence. After a year at Disfrutar, Aayush moved to the United States, where he worked at several Marriott-owned properties, further expanding his expertise in the hospitality industry.
A natural leader from a young age, Aayush has always thrived under the pressures of leadership. Helping colleagues develop their skills and grow into better professionals has been a personal mission. At OMO, his vision is to foster a happy yet challenging work environment where the team feels motivated and excited to come to work every day.
Outside of the kitchen, Aayush is deeply passionate about football and cherishes time spent at home with family.
