This can happen if our first guests ie our employees are treated like we treat our guests. People are our core assets and it is our endeavor to inspire and nurture people to achieve their true potential. We have a few unique programs that ensure that the people who put a smile on the guest's face are happy people too.
We believe that every person in the organization is equal and we foster this through the 'Honeycomb Organogram' where conventional hierarchy gives way to a flat matrix inspired by the honeybees. Departmental heads work and network as one cohesive team to ensure that the organization is sans bureaucracy.
We believe in the dignity of labour. We hire for attitude and train for skill. We spend aconsiderable amount of time training our employees so that there is one unified way of work and service across the organization. We believe in gender equality and our reward and recognition policy stands testimony to our belief in creating a meritocracy driven firm.
We view any form of sexual harassment very seriously. In the event of a complaint there will a internal hearing by the HODs and the person found guilty shall terminated from his or her services immediately. We expect all the employees to maintain the highest level of respect and honor toward women irrespective of them being employees or guests.
Guests walk in and walk out of our lives every day. In order to keep our service levels at the highest levels we evaluate our employees on a daily basis. This ensure that the team stays alert to opportunities and delivers outstanding service to every guest. The daily evaluation are then tabulated to reward the employee of the month.
Since service is the bedrock of our philosophy we have done away with the conventional tipping policy. We never charge any tip from our guest and return the monies if paid. Instead we request our guest to give us their valuable feedback which goes on the strength-en and improve our service standards. Employees are rewarded if the guest is happy.
We believe each employee has the potential to reach excellence provided he or she is inspired and rewarded for their individual and team efforts. The RFTS program is a valuable metric developed to reward employees as individuals and a teams.
In order to foster dignity of labor and common purpose the entire organization irrespec-tive of department, function or level is divided into four houses. Each house has a rotating captain and the winners at the various events are given points. These individual and team points add up to decide on the winning house of the year.
BHPL is one big family and we hold multiple events throughout the year. A T-20 cricket tournament, sports day, annual day, Diwali day, family day, kite-flying day are some of the festivities which fosters bonhomie and cheer within the organization.
